A Bend In Time

Hey blog world! Today’s daily blog post was called “A Bend In Time”. It asks when you’re giddy with excitement, does time speed up? Slow down? Tell us about the experience of anticipation.

When I have something exciting coming up the next day or next morning, I always find it hard to sleep because I’m just so excited for it to happen or to be there (i.e. trips, events, holidays, etc.)! I find the night before go by so slow and it feels like a long time!

Do you feel like that blog world? When your anxiously awaiting something does time speed up or slow down? Tell me in the comments!

Rangers

Hey blog world! Last night I went to Rangers (its a part of Girl Guides of Canada). I’ll be going there every Tuesday night at an elementary school in our city. L.B. asked me if I wanted to join it with her and I thought why not since it sounded like fun!

We’re going on a hike on Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. They said to take pictures and I’m going to bring my camera and see if I can capture anything interesting or scenic.

And we’re doing a cookie blitz in one of the leaders’ neighborhood. Which means selling cookies from door to door.

What were planning to do in the future also sounds really exciting!

We get to apply for certain trips for the summer for 10-14 days (not everyone will get picked for the trips but we can apply for it). I was stuck with a decision between Kenya, Africa and Churchill, Manitoba. I eventually made up my mind to apply for Churchill, Manitoba. Also we’ll also be doing some over night camps in the fall and winter (of 2013). Which also sounds like fun! And I think we’ll be going on a trip to the highest point in our province sometime during the year.

I’ve been in Brownies a long time ago. I was excited to return back to Girl Guides again!

Have you ever been in Sparks, Brownies, Guides, Pathfinders, or Rangers? Was it fun? Tell me in the comments!

Quoting Myself

Hey blog world! Today I came up of a new idea for a blog post. I’m going to quote myself on the stuff I usually say and such!

“Your mom.”

“Aw shoes!”

“Don’t step on the dog!”

“Watch out!”

“Ain’t nobody got time for that.”

“Is it as hot as me?”

“I gotta pee.”

“Very funny.”

“Burnnnn!”

“I like your new curtains.”

“If you like it so much then why don’t you marry it?”

“Psyche!”

“Dude.”

LOL that’s all I can think of for now! I say the funniest stuff!

To This Day

Hey blog world. Today in writing class we looked at a video at the end of class about a poem about what a guy went through when he got bullied, how his self-confidence lowered…and how he wasn’t the only one. This video sends a strong message and I thought I’d share it. It’s 7 minutes long but it’s worth watching!

The Excitement Never Ends

Hey blog world! Yesterday’s daily post was called “The excitement never ends”. I have to write about the last time I got excited. The last time that happened was a month ago when I got to see an actual music concert for the first time! I went to see Marianas Trench (along with Vita Chambers) with my friend L.B.! She had an extra ticket and asked if I wanted to go too! I said yes! I was wearing non noticable earplugs so the music and cheering was not that loud. We went to see the concert in our city’s popular stadium.

My favorite songs that they sung was “Stutter”, “Haven’t Had Enough”, “Good To You”, “By Now”, “Desperate Measures”, and a bunch of others!

When was the last time you were really excited? Tell me in the comments!

Summer Memories 2013

Hey blog world! Yesterday was the last day of summer vacation! It’s suprising how summer flew by that quickly! I had yet another great summer!

* VBS – This time I wasn’t participating, but I was a helper there along with my friend L.M.! It was so much fun!

* Going to a park, B.P., with my friend L.B. for half the day! It was fun!

* Going to the cabin for a few days of the summer. We didn’t get to go up much this year. But it was fun when we did!

* Seeing Marianas Trench in concert with L.B.!

* Being a junior camp counselor for a nature camp! It was fun! I’m definatley gonna apply again next year! Next year I’m going to try the younger group and see how that one goes!

* Toronto – I had so much fun there! I went with my mom and dad. The best part of the trip was when we went to Niagra Falls and the Toronto Zoo! I even got to ride on a camel at the Toronto Zoo!

* Seeing “Planes” with L.B. and L.M. and seeing “The Smurfs 2” with L.M.

I had a great summer and I can’t wait for next summer too (I may even have an idea what I’ll be doing the next!)! Today I’m starting high school (Grade 10).

What are your favorite memories of this summer? Tell me in the comments!
